Water Pump Installation, Repairs & Service

We supply and install bore and submersible pumps, pressure pumps, transfer pumps and booster systems, and we install them as part of the wider system rather than dropping in a replacement and leaving you to it.

Most pump problems we're called to aren't faults — they're a pump that was never suited to the duty. Sizing depends on flow rate, how far the water has to be lifted and pushed, how many outlets might run at once, and what pressure you actually need at the far end.

Undersized, and you get poor pressure whenever there's more than one demand on the system. Oversized, and the pump short-cycles, which wears out the switch, the pressure tank and eventually the pump itself. We work it out properly before quoting.

For properties where constant pressure matters, variable speed pumps hold steady output as demand changes and are usually quieter and easier on the system.

Symptoms we're regularly called out to:

• Pump running constantly, or cutting in and out rapidly
• Pressure dropping away or fluctuating at the taps
• Pump won't start, or trips the breaker
• Noisy or vibrating pump
• Air spitting from the taps

Often the pump itself is fine and the fault is elsewhere — a waterlogged pressure tank, a failed pressure switch, a leaking foot valve or a leak on the line making the pump work when nothing's running. We diagnose before replacing, because a new pump plumbed onto an existing fault will fail the same way.

Pumps last longer when they're looked after. We service existing pumps, check and recharge pressure tanks, replace switches and worn components, and can put rural and commercial sites on a regular schedule so problems are found before they become breakdowns.

For commercial and light industrial sites we install, service and repair booster and pressure systems, including plant that needs upgrading or bringing back to reliable operation. Where downtime is costly, planned maintenance is worth more than a fast callout.
